The NUS Council approved notice of voting today, March 11, for upcoming referenda.

The proposed referenda, linked below, includes:

• Consolidating the CNSA fee into the NUS fee, improving the fee collection process (currently collected in cash)
• Indexing the NUS fee beginning September 2025, ensuring the fee continue to increase with inflation to allow the NUS to continue to fund orientation day, the bluebook, reference cards, etc.
• Amending the constitution & bylaws (summary of major changes), approving unofficial changes made by the last council and a number of improvements by the new council. View the proposed bylaws here.

The referenda timeline is as follows:

Voting by email opens Monday, March 25 at 1:00pm and closes Thursday, March 28 at 1:00pm. Referendum results will be released on ubcnus.ca and shared by email.
